OMega 3 comes from the Algae that the fish eat.
It could be debated that you are enjoying your seabass on the basis of it being a source of omega 3 oil. However, why would you prefer to devastate the sealife just to squeeze your fish into a capsule rather than get your omega 3 oil from the original source?
Omega-3 comes from Fish.
The source of Omega-3 is the algae that fish eat.
Fish get their Omega 3 from eating Algae and so can we.
Think about it – why do we need to eat it second-hand through fish – we can go straight to the original source that the fish eat ourselves.
“Omega-3 fats are essential fats. The body can’t make them from scratch but we must get them from food” – Harvard School of Public Health.
Omega-3 is made up of 3 different types of healthy fats – ALA, DHA and EPA. The second two were until recently only found in fish, krill and marine animals.
01
Omega-3 from fish is not sustainable and is increasingly harmful.
In theory, fish can provide all the Omega-3 you need. However it is not sustainable and is increasingly harmful. Unfortunately the majority of fish supply is now heavily tainted with industrial toxins and pollutants. 49% of fish in the UK comes from farmed fish swimming in their own faeces and are artificially fed Omega-3.
02
Plant-based substitutes are not true substitutes.
It is believed that the consumption of Omega-3 rich plant sources (such as flaxseed, chia and hemp) would deliver the same health benefits. Whilst these plant-based sources are rich in ALA from plants and algae is rich in DHA and EPA.
ALA is a short-chain fatty acid, whilst EPA and DHA are a long-chain fatty acids.
ALA is rapidly absorbed, but remains in the blood for only approximately 10 hours. After consuming EPA and DHA, the level of fatty acid in the blood stays elevated for more than 3 days.
Unfortunately the human body cannot synthesise Omega-3 from algae directly so this is not a solution in itself.
A technique has been developed by brand V Omega-3 for extracting omega-3 oils directly from algae in a way which is 100% sustainable and ethical.
VOmega-3 was founded by philanthropist, passionate environmentalist and animal rights campaigner Heather Mills.
Heather has been Vegan since 1993, adopting a plant based diet to heal a life threatening infection, creating and innovating the largest range of meat, fish and dairy free plant based products with her brand VBites Foods.
“It all started when I had a friend suffering from depression who was vegan and really didn’t want to eat fish, but went back to it out of what she felt was necessity. I started to do an analysis to see what the issue was. It turns out a tiny percent of people cannot convert a short chain fatty acid into a long chain fatty acid, which means it is difficult for them to obtain Omega-3 from eating Linseed and flaxseed oil. Instead, they need to add omega-3 into their diet from Algae – already a longchain fatty acid.” – Heather Mills

After lots of research Heather located a high strain of the DHA and EPA, investing millions of pounds into the product development only for it to be stolen because of its high value and rare properties. After many years of difficulties battling the fraudsters in the industry, Heather is still manufacturing V-Omega 3 to this day. The original, clean and pure V-Omega 3.
